Nabaiji OWS 100.

The simple, affordable way into open-water swimming.

The Nabaiji OWS 100 is designed around one simple idea: getting into open-water swimming without spending a fortune.

It doesn't try to compete with premium triathlon wetsuits on flexibility, buoyancy or outright performance. Instead, it offers an accessible starting point for first-time triathletes, casual open-water swimmers and anyone who isn't yet sure how seriously they're going to take the sport.

Our Verdict

If you're entering your first sprint triathlon and don't want to spend hundreds before you know whether you even enjoy open-water swimming, this is where the conversation starts.

The OWS 100 prioritises affordability, durability and ease of use. Its construction makes it relatively straightforward to put on and remove, while the less delicate materials are reassuring for someone learning how to handle a wetsuit.

The trade-off is performance. Compared with more advanced triathlon wetsuits, it provides less buoyancy and less assistance with body position, particularly for swimmers whose legs tend to sink.

That's not necessarily a problem for a beginner. It simply means you're buying a wetsuit primarily for access and protection, rather than buying one to transform your swimming.

The Good

  • Low entry price.
  • Easy introduction to open-water swimming.
  • Relatively straightforward to put on and remove.
  • More forgiving of everyday handling than ultra-thin suits.
  • Good option for testing whether triathlon is for you.

The Not-So-Good

  • Limited buoyancy compared with dedicated performance suits.
  • Less assistance for swimmers with sinking legs.
  • Less freedom and refinement than premium neoprene.
  • Not designed around maximum race-day performance.

Triathlon Tracker Scores

Our scores compare the product with other wetsuits in its category. A budget wetsuit shouldn't be penalised simply because it doesn't perform like a €800 flagship.

Who Should Buy It?

Buy the Nabaiji OWS 100 if you're doing your first triathlon, swimming casually in open water or working with a tight budget.

It's particularly appropriate for a Super-Sprint or Sprint triathlon where your priority is getting comfortable in open water rather than extracting every possible performance gain.

It also makes sense if you're simply testing the waters before deciding whether triathlon is something you want to invest in seriously.

Who Should Look Elsewhere?

If you're already a confident swimmer and training seriously, you'll probably benefit from a more flexible, better-performing suit.

Likewise, if your biggest issue is body position or sinking legs, a more buoyant triathlon-specific suit may provide considerably more assistance.
